MEET Turner
My name is Cody Turner, I would be honored to earn your vote to lead YOUR Lawrence County Sheriff's Office. After serving the current sheriff office's for nearly 5 years I HAVE HAD ENOUGH of the citizens of our county being served by a reactive Sheriff’s Office as opposed to a proactive one.
I am a combat veteran with experience operating in high-stress environments to accomplish the mission. During my military service, I worked alongside some of the highest performing professionals in the world. I also had the pleasure to follow some of the best leaders the military had to offer. I WILL bring that same level of performance, standards, and accountability to the Lawrence County Sheriff's Office.
After my time in the military I spent years in Emergency Medical Services doing my best to care for the sick and injured on my watch. Compassion for EVERYONE is essential to being a servant of the community, and I will bring that same compassion to the people Lawrence County.
Like any family man in our county I want to build the safest and most secure environment for my family. In doing so it builds the same for your family. I want every mother, father, and all care-takers in this county to have a safe community in which to raise their children.

Highly trained professionals WILL absolutely hunt you down if you seek to do harm and cause chaos in our county. When justice comes, it will come with respect, dignity, and the fullest protection of your constitutional rights.

tAX DOLLARS
I know that every dollar spent by the sheriff’s office belongs to the people of Lawrence County. The current almost 3 million dollar budget is not being put to use in a way that delivers for the citizens of our county.
Cody’s Plan for Responsible Spending:
Accountability in Every Budget No backroom deals, no “good ole boys” handouts. Every expenditure will be transparent and tied directly to public safety.
Smart Investments, Real Results Funding goes where it matters most: deputies on the streets, training, modern equipment, and resources to fight crime.
Cutting Waste, Not Corners I will put an end to unnecessary spending and make sure taxpayer dollars are used wisely—not wasted on politics or perks.
Better Communication on Spending
Citizens will know where their money is going. Cody will release regular updates so the public can see exactly how the sheriff’s office budget is serving them.

CITIZEN’S
I believe the sheriff’s office should work for every citizen in Lawrence County. The days of getting a more responsive and customer service oriented Sheriff’s office because you have the right last name, farm the right ground, or make enough money are over.
What Citizens Can Expect from Cody’s Leadership:
Equal Protection for All No matter where you live in our county or what social class you belong to you will receive the same outstanding level of service, protection, and respect.
Community Partnerships Safety is built together. I will strengthen relationships with neighborhoods, schools, businesses, churches, and civic groups to make sure every voice is heard. I will also forge strong relationships with sister agencies that provide a higher quality of service to our citizens.
Accessible & Approachable Leadership
The sheriff’s office won’t be a closed door, no longer will it the good ole boys club. Citizens will have opportunities to connect directly with me and our team through town halls, ride-alongs, and open forums.
Defending Citizens’ Rights I am committed to protecting not just the safety, but also the Constitutional rights of every individual in Lawrence County.

COMMUNICATION
I believes that good law enforcement starts with good communication. Too often, citizens are left in the dark, unsure of what’s happening in their own community. That changes with Turner as sheriff.
